Spring 2016 — www.ncsf.com 9 2015 Annual Statement pictured above is the 2014-2018 board of Directors Executive Officers, row 1: National President Margaret Schmitt, National Vice President Sally Egan, National Secretary Catherine Hensel, National Treasurer Brian Lawless. National Directors, row 2: David Bonacker, Terence Patrick Coleman, Jeanne Filipp, Rosalie Pyle, Sandra Troyanoski, Maria Tupaz, and Jane Uselman. As Chief Operations Offi cer, an important part of directing the operations involves establishing processes and procedures for reducing risk at all levels of our business. This would include things like cross-training staff in order to maintain smooth workfl ow, updating building security, assuring that data and records are secure, and monitoring compliance with respect to all the rules and regulations that affect the Society. The development of a strategic plan provides me with an overarching framework for expense accountability, monitoring and developing growth in membership, growth in revenue, and fulfi llment of our NCSF mission. Frequent budget review helps to assure that we will meet goals, improve effi ciencies for 2016, and prepare for the next three years. The highest priority project for NCSF has been our policy administration system, which is continuing to be built by Andesa and should be ready for full functioning by mid-summer. This system will move NCSF into the 21st century with our technology leaving the "dark side" of a 25-year-old DOS-based system and moving us into "the cloud." Being in charge of the day-to day business also includes reviewing our website and our brochures, as well as the fraternal department's needs and NCSF fraternal benefi ts programs. With 2016 being our 125th Anniversary, "Making Life Connections" is the theme for the year. Founder's day is July 17th. Progress + Accountability + Collaboration + Excellence = PACE. As Chief Operations Offi cer, I strive to incorporate these goals and maintain a good PACE for bringing the Society into a solid future for serving our members and growing our business. Fraternally, LISA M. BICKUS CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER (COO) Chief Operations Officer The highest priority project for NCSF has been our policy administration system … this system will move NCSF into the 21st century.
