T hroughout 2016, we asked readers of our email newsletters (Cheers Weekly and Beverage Dynamics Roundup) what they thought about sustainable products and packaging, and the movement in general. Comments from retailers and operators ranged from "Not really impacting our market," to "Sustainability is a bigger trend in wine than in spirits." One respondent said they would like to see bottle deposits on all glass and plastic containers, and wished all beverage alcohol products could be made more sustainably to reduce environmental impact.
