The Aquilini Investment Group acquired The Falls GC in April of 2012 and spent the next three months resurrecting the golf course and clubhouse. After much hard work and dedication the course and the clubhouse were ready to be re-opened and on July 14th, 2012, the first public golfers teed off. Aquilini Investment Group owns and operates a large portfolio of business including two other golf courses at Golden Eagle GC in Pitt Meadows. "We have built an incredible team to bring life back to the course and provide memorable golfing experiences‚" says Jamie Baxter, Vice President, Golf for Aquilini Properties. Operations Manager John Ross says ‚"This is such a wonderful property and we are excited to welcome back familiar faces and new guests to the facility." The Falls GC originally opened in 1994 and has been given 4 stars by Golf Digest - Places to Play, has been ranked in the top 100 World Destinations for Fishing and Golf, by TSN's Fins and Skins, has been ranked #2 for BC's Best Scenery, BC's Favourite Course, and BC's Best Kept Secret by Province Golf Guide (Golfer's choice best of BC). Carved from the foothills of Mount Cheam, The Falls GC features a dramatic championship layout that is one of BC's most unique and captivating courses. Featuring an average of five sets of tee boxes per hole, the course stretches from 4792 to 6780 yards. Playing through 750 feet of elevation change, golfers will find an incredible landscape of rolling terrain, natural rock outcroppings and towering cedars. Natural surroundings, towering cedars and cascading waterfalls complement your mountain-side golfing experience. For more information visit thefalls.com or call 604-745-4653. General Manager Brian Avey says, "Squamish Valley has undergone a number of improvements this season. Most notable being the upgraded Irrigaton System that entailed setting back the pump house and expanding the lake on hole #13. The reviews have been excellent suggesting a whole new look from the tee box. Being a former logging community one of the fallers has created a killer whale out of a huge stump on the 14th fairway worth seeing... The Club introduced a Junior rate on weekends attracting families and extended their 1:00pm Twilight Rate from Monday to Thursday to include weekends. In spite of the upcoming shoulder season weather, being one of the best drained golf courses around will again appeal to the mainland players this fall. To players in Sea to Sky Country, the annual Iron Man and Iron Women event is scheduled for October 20th weekend. " 888-349- 3688 • squamishvalleygolf.com ST.
