SAND ESCAPE BODY ROTATION FOR

If your normal bunker performance finds more sand or rough than it does green, try this strategy to get out every time and land the ball closer to the hole.
THE DRILL
Find a position in the bunker, no more than 10 feet from the green, with a low or gentle lip. For this exercise use the following fundamentals: • Stance: Shoulder width
apart and aim slightly left of target • Posture: Normal (assuming your normal posture is correct) • Grip: Normal

• Clubface: Slightly open to
the target line, making sure your grip points back to the center of your body
Draw a line in the sand placing one foot on each side. Your feet should straddle the line with equal distance on each side. Now take 10 half-swings without breaking your elbows in the backswing. Your arms swing straight from waist high on the backswing,
down through impact and up to a full follow through, feeling extended toward the target. Your wrists and hands should be relaxed as you start the downswing, which allows a slight bit of down-hinge (this happens in response to your body leading the motion in the downswing).
It should feel like you’re moving the sand with your body motion and dragging
