JRCO Hooker soft-plug aerator The JRCO Hooker soft-plug aerator offers zero-turn maneuverability. The tine rotors utilize the forward force of the mower to make holes up to 3 inches deep. The Hooker pulls loose plugs of soil, eliminating messy hard cores and soil compaction. It aerates 1.5 acres per hour at 5 mph. JRCO, Inc. Mantis Tiller/Cultivator lawn aerator attachment The Mantis lawn aerator attachment for the Mantis Tiller/Cultivator will revitalize lawns easily and with less effort than the old manual way. The lawn aerator attachment effortlessly cuts row after row of beneficial aerating slits, opening the soil for more effective penetration of air, moisture and nutrients. The result is a healthy, green lawn. Mantis/Schiller Grounds Care, Inc. Redexim’s Verti-Drain 1513 Redexim’s Verti-Drain 1513 walk-behind aerator fits with its universal power unit, “The Carrier.” The 1513 is powered by a 32-hp. Briggs & Stratton Vanguard engine and uses a hydrostatic transmission supplied by Eaton, with a forward speed of more than 3.5 miles per hour. This 3-wheel-drive unit has a working capacity of more than 36,000 square feet per hour at a 3-inch hole spacing. The 1513 works at a 6-inch depth, with either coring or solid tines, and provides the forced heave of all Verti-Drain machines. Redexim North America, Inc. Ryan LA-36 aerator The 36-inch tow-behind Ryan Lawnaire aerator (LA-36) is highly effective on medium-size turf areas from 1 to 5 acres. The Lawnaire is towable by a riding mower and offers a choice of manual, hydraulic or optional electric lift. Hydraulic lift requires 700 psi for operation, and electric lift allows users to remain in their seat when going over driveways, side- walks and curbs. The LA-36 boasts a 36-inch aerating width, maximum 4-inch aerating depth, 6 cast-iron wheels and 48 tines (8 per wheel). Independently mounted tine wheels allow steering while the tines remain in the ground, ensuring consistent depth penetration. This unit also supports double tining. Ryan/Schiller Grounds Care, Inc. SourceOne’s PL855 PRO HD hydrostatic-drive aerator The primary feature of SourceOne’s PL855 PRO HD hydrostatic drive aerator is built-in performance. From fingertip speed control to a simplified, self-propelled hydrostatic drive system, this aerator offers high per-hour productivity, ex- cellent aeration results and low maintenance. The PL855 is a 30-inch reciprocating aerator; high tensile strength tines are driven into even hard soils with cam-action engine power instead of bulky weights. The PL855 is especially effec- tive on grasses and soils that are soft or spongy, where self propulsion keeps the aerator moving at an appropriate aer- ation speed. There’s a built-in quick-release receiver hitch for a StepSavr sulky. SourceOne Outdoor Power Equipment Turfco TurnAer XT5 steerable, reversible aerator Turfco’s TurnAer XT5 aerator allows operators to steer and drive in reverse with the tines in the ground, eliminating the need to stop, lift, and turn with each pass; reducing fatigue; and increasing productivity by 50 percent over traditional aerators. It combines Turfco’s patented steerable aerator technology with a new variable-speed hydrostatic-drive sys- tem. A well-balanced machine, the XT5 places weight directly over the tines for better penetration and smooth opera- tion. In addition, the XT5 features new EasyChange tines, which dramatically reduce changeover time. The low-profile design and rugged unibody steel frame make the XT5 extremely durable. The XT5’s drive chains are covered and located outside of the frame to protect it from debris for long-lasting, trouble-free operation. Turfco Ventrac AERA-vator EA600 Designed to fit the Ventrac 4000 series tractor, the Ventrac AERA-vator EA600 stirs and loosens the soil beneath the sod without destroying the turf. The EA600 creates a core hole without bringing a core plug to the surface, leaving the turf ready for use immediately after treatment. Six holes are created each foot (66 holes per square meter), and hole size is regulated by drive speed — the slower the drive speed, the larger the hole. The EA600 is built with the Ventrac Mount System, allowing for easy attachment changes, and comes with a standard jack stand for easy mounting. Ventrac by Venture Products, Inc.
