Generac, EcoMotors agree to engine development partnership Generac Power Systems, Inc. and EcoMotors In- ternational recently announced an agreement to jointly develop the EcoMotors opoc engine for Generac products. The agreement is designed to enable Generac to apply the opoc technology to its wide range of residential, commercial and in- dustrial power generation solutions. “We are very excited to partner with Generac on this game-changing initiative for the power generation industry.” said Don Runkle, CEO of EcoMotors. “Together, our organizations look forward to bringing clean, efficient opoc-pow- ered Generac products to the power generation market in the near future.” Generac CEO Aaron Jagdfeld said, “This agree- ment with EcoMotors reflects Generac’s proud role as the standby power generation industry leader and innovator, and our continual quest to bring new technologies that add value for our customers and shareholders.” Noting the inherent functional advantages of opoc, Allen Gillette, Generac’s senior vice presi- dent of engineering, added, “We believe that this remarkably compact and flexible engine can play a key role in ensuring that Generac prod- ucts remain responsive to our customer needs, and to further distinguish Generac in terms of advanced technologies that are environmentally sound.” 10 Saturday, Oct. 29 10-11 a.m. “Leveraging Aftermarket Selling Opportunities” Every year, tens of thousands of dollars walk out the doors of dealerships because they are not in a position to take advan- tage of lucrative aftermarket sales in the service and parts departments. TrynEx International moves to new plant TrynEx International, the manufacturer of SnowEx, TurfEx and SweepEx product lines, has moved into a new state-of-the-art plant in Madison Heights, Mich. The facility positions TrynEx for future expansion, and it allows the company to set up a lean manufacturing system through a partnership with the Michigan Manufac- turing Technology Center (MMTC). Much larger than its previous building, TrynEx’s new 130,000- square-foot, world-class facility allows plenty of room for development and growth. It also con- tains multiple new fea- tures to improve the assembly and shipping processes. These in- clude flexible lean manufacturing lines, ergonomic tooling, and a pick-and-pack order fulfillment system. Furthermore, the building includes a training center for staging corporate meetings and forums, making it more guest-friendly for visiting dealers and OEMs. “Through the new facility and our involvement with MMTC, we’ve invested heavily in the future of our distributors, dealers, OEMs, customers and employ- ees,” said Bern Buczek, marketing director for TrynEx. “We’re also positioning our- selves as a premier manufacturer in the state of Michigan.” In business for more than 30 years, TrynEx started as a lawn and landscape contractor that began developing its own line of innovative equipment. This unique perspective and approach led to rapid growth, as this is the second time the company has moved to a larger plant since its inception. TrynEx’s current line of equipment includes SnowEx innovative products for the snow and ice industry, TurfEx precision products for lawn, golf and turf care, and SweepEx commercial and industrial sweeping solutions.
