VP HAGI RESIGNS FROM KTM KTM North America, Inc. announced last month that Brad Hagi has resigned from his five-year post as vice presi- dent of sales and marketing effective immediately. In a statement, Hagi explained that he was leaving for personal reasons, comment- ing, "After five years of incred- ible market share growth and sales milestones, I realized that it was time for a change. This was a difficult decision for me, and I would like to thank Jon- Erik (Burleson) and the Board of Directors in Austria for their full support and cooperation during this transition." He continued, "I am extremely proud that KTM has become one of the fastest grow- ing brands in the United States which is a true reflection on the dealer network and the entire team at KTM. The last five years have been an incredible journey for me, and I look forward to a new chapter in my life." President of KTM North America, Jon-Erik Burleson, stated, "On behalf of KTM, we thank Brad for his effort and time with us. His tenure with KTM came during a critical time in our company's history. We not only grew market share out of the financial crisis, but also began the next step in our brand's growth in the street seg- ments. We wish him well in his future endeavors." KIMPEX EXPANDS PRESENCE OVERSEAS Kimpex, a Canadian PG&A dis- tributor, announced its expan- sion overseas with the opening of a subsidiary of Kimpex in St. Petersburg, Russia. This expansion will reinforce Kimpex's position in the Rus- sian market, and the company will become the first Canadian distributor to get a direct foot- hold in the country. "We have been present in Russia for several years now through local distributors. By setting up there directly, we will be able to offer better ser- vice to retailers and help them benefit from all our products," said Michel Coté, Kimpex vice president of sales. "We chose St. Petersburg as a location for our operations because it is a strategic location for us, a cen- tral base for our overall opera- tions there." The first container was expected to arrive in Russia by mid-November, coinciding with the start-up of Kimpex Russia's operations. Red Bull Media House in association with Freeride Entertain- ment released a new motorcycle documentary "On Any Sunday, The Next Chapter" in theaters nationwide last month. From director Dana Brown ("Step Into Liquid," "Dust to Glory"), the film is a follow-up to the 1971 Academy Award- nominated documentary, "On Any Sunday," directed by his father, Bruce Brown. The 90-minute documentary film features MotoGP riders Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa, action sports superstar Travis Pastrana, freestyle motocross pioneer Robbie Maddison, Pikes Peak International Hill Climb motorcycle champ Carlin Dunne, women's motocross champ Ashley Fiolek, motocross legend Doug Henry, custom motorcycle designer and former racer Roland Sands and one of the most successful riders in supercross history, James Stewart. The film was released nationally throughout the major the- atrical chains including Regal Entertainment, AMC Theatres, Cinemark and Carmike Cinemas and is available for distribution worldwide. For showtimes, visit www.onanysundayfilm.com. Dolby, KTM and Skullcandy are official partners of the film. "This is the first time a feature film from Red Bull Media House will have national theatrical distribution in the United States," said Werner Brell, managing director of Red Bull Media House North America. "Releasing the film nationally gives us the opportunity to reach new audiences and excite those who ride, where they ride." Director Dana Brown suggests that the timing was just right for a follow-up to his father Bruce Brown's film, "On Any Sunday": "Bikes are better, athletes have progressed, and there are so many disciplines now. In fact, we couldn't possibly do justice to all of them in this 90-minute movie. We set out to show a cross-section of motorcycling today, and here's hoping we've succeeded."
