Cleopatra's Universe, an original production of the Daniel M. Soref Planetarium, explores the truths and mysteries of Cleopatra using the planetarium's immersive full-dome technology inside the IMAX theater. The 35-minute presen- tation allows viewers to travel back in time to see stunning re-creations of the famed Alexandria Library, Cleopatra's Palace and the Pharos Lighthouse, one of the seven won- ders of the ancient world. The planetarium presentation is an ideal complement to the Cleopatra exhibit. A 44-minute IMAX presentation called Mysteries of Egypt allows viewers to travel the Nile River and peer into tombs of pharaohs. Staring Omar Sharif, the IMAX film soars past the great pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and obelisks carved out of massive slabs of granite and "rebuilt" through com- puter imagery on the IMAX screen.
