18 • MARCH 2015 • WORLD FENCE NEWS Alex Huszti Sr. was co-founder of Canadian Fence Contractors, Ltd. The Michigan Chapter is sad to announce the passing of Alex Huszti Sr. on December 17, 2014. He was 77 years old. Alex was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Tubi) Huszti; beloved father of Alex Huszti Jr., Au- drianna DeSouza (Ricardo), and Michelle Piekos (Paul); and beloved brother of William (Bill) Huszti (Veronica). He was born in Hungary on March 21, 1937 and moved to Windsor, Ontario, Canada in 1956. His brother and he founded Canadian Fence Contrac- tors, Ltd. Alex was a loyal supporter of our Michi- gan Chapter and always attended our chapter func- tions. We will all miss him. Donations in memoriam of Alex may be made to the heart or cancer society of your choice. – Sincerely, Dick Fromm, Michigan Chapter AFA Tee it up and have fun at the Memphis Tri-State Fence Association golf outing The Memphis Tri-State Fence Association will host its 29th annual golf tournament on Saturday, May 16 at the Tunica National Golf Course in Tunica, Miss., just minutes outside of Memphis, Tenn. The host hotel is the Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica. The tournament will begin with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start on Satur- day. The entry fee is $160 per player, which includes one red tee, two mulli- gans and entry into Saturday's putting contest. The tournament will pay 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in three flights, two closest to the pins, two long drives and the al- ways humbling "most honest team" award. A practice round is available for the first 72 players on Friday, with tee times beginning at 11 a.m. Players will pay the $60 greens fee directly to the pro shop, and not with their tournament registration. A Friday skins game is available. Contact Mark Daril at 501-438-2006 to get in on the skins game. A hospitality and reception will be held at the hotel on Friday May 15 from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. Stateside Steel and Wire is the sponsor. The chapter noted that profits from the golf outing as well as all funds collected by the chapter will be used to benefit the industry and its members. Sponsoring scholarships to the AFA F ield Training School and the Cer- tified Automated Gate Operator In- staller School, donating money for di- saster relief, and supporting nonprofit organizations are a few of the ways the chapter supports the industry and the community. A man called his law firm and asked the receptionist if he could speak to his lawyer, Mr. Smith. She replied that she was sorry, but his lawyer was dead. The next day the man called again want- ing to speak with Mr. Smith. The receptionist again said that she was sorry, but he was dead. The next day, the man called again and and asked if he could talk to his lawyer, Mr. Smith. The receptionist said that she was sorry but she had already told him a hundred times that he was dead. The man replied, I know that, I just like hearing it!
