"Don" O'Hara, 90, passed away on Sunday March 1, 2015, at the Golden View Health Care Center in Meredith. O'Hara was married for 67 years to the late Dorothy C. (Meehan) O'Hara who died in 2014. O'Hara was born August 19, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of Patrick G. and Grace M. (Marcel) O'Hara. He proudly served in WWII in the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded The Bronze Star for heroism. After serving in the U.S. Army, O'Hara re- turned home, married and went to work for Sears and Roebuck, while pur- suing his degree from Hofstra College (University). He later taught salesman- ship and marketing at Rutgers Univer- sity. O'Hara then embarked on a long, adventurous, career in the oil business, beginning with Mobile Oil Company in New York as a salesman and district manager. He then worked for Cities Service Oil Company (Citgo Oil) as regional manager in New Jersey and then Boston. He also was employed by Gibb's Oil Company in Revere, Mass. He was a past President of the Lakes Region Petroleum Board of Trade. In 1973 O'Hara was honored to accept the position of president and CEO for Dow Oil Company (Irving Oil), where he worked until his retirement. He re- mained a consultant for Irving Oil for many years. AREE BOOTH NUMBER AND FLOOR PLAN CHANGES AREE has made a modification to the Floor Plan to accommodate booth/ truck sales. Fla- herty III, 76, of Merrimack N.H., former- ly of Hollis and Medford, Mass., passed away peace- fully on March 27, 2015, at the C o m m u n i t y Hospice House in Merrimack, with his family by his side, after a short battle with AML. Born in Boston on Jan. 16, 1939, Flaherty was the son of the late James H. Jr. and Marguerite (Choquette) Flaherty. He graduated from Malden Catholic High School Class of 1956 and Providence College receiving his B.S. in business in 1960. He played hockey as a defenseman throughout those years. Flaherty retired after 30 years in the oil industry. He worked at North- east Petroleum as a vice-president and also in sales for Cargill Energy. He was an active member of all six New Eng- land states' Oil Associations. Jim was a member of The First Congregational Church of Merrimack.
