Feature has fl ourished and along the way Williams has become a leader in the industry. He is actively involved in the trucking community, establishing a strong reputation for himself and Maverick. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Arkansas Trucking Association, served a three-term role as Chairman of the Arkansas Trucking Association, and was Chairman of the American Trucking Associations in 2005. Additionally, Williams sat on the Executive Committee of the Transpor- tation Research Board of the National Academies and served as Chairman of the American Transportation Research Institute. Growth has come from reinvest- ment of earnings in company-owned equipment and six acquisitions: Kis- sick Truck Lines in 1994, Jewett Scott Truck Line in 2002, Parrett Truck- ing in 2004, Schneider Specialized in 2006, Crossover Transportation in 2010, Haywood Trucking in 2014, and Flanary and Sons Trucking, Inc (FAST) in 2015. Whether it is hauling steel, build- ing materials, fl at glass or temperature controlled products, striving to be the best can be seen in everything Mav- erick does.
