50 | Overdrive | May 2018 EQuiPmENt sPotLigHt mAts PRoDuCts Cooper's premium tire lines Cooper Tire & Rubber, after years of selling its Roadmaster Tires for the low-price trailer tire market, is introducing Cooper- branded premium radial tires for long- haul, regional and severe-duty applica- tions. The models include steer, drive and trailer tires. The long-haul tires are branded Pro Series. The LHD (drive) tire is avail- able and the LHS (steer) and LHT (trailer) models will be launched next year. The Pro Series LHD has a ⁄nd tread depth and closed shoulders. The Work Series regional-haul tires offer high resistance to cuts and chips and have tread depths ranging from ⁄nd to ⁄nd. The Work Series RHA (all-position) has a ⁄nd tread depth and a four-rib design, and the Work Series RHD has a ⁄nd tread depth and an open shoulder for maximum traction. The Severe Series MSA mixed-service tires have a ⁄nd tread depth with full-width four-belt construction. – Max Heine Plantronics' rugged headset Plantronics' Voyager 104 hands-free Bluetooth headset has a long, flexible microphone boom with windscreen and DSP noise-canceling, and a close- fitting memory-foam earcup helps provide improved listening while facil- itating all-day comfort. On-ear con- trols for calls and music are designed for easy access, even with work gloves. The rugged headset is engineered to provide up to 24 hours of battery life on a single charge and 40 days of standby time and to remain connected from 60 feet away; two devices can be connected at once. – Matt Cole TarpStop's rolling tarp system TarpStop's Fastrak Evolution automated rolling tarp system is designed to allow operators to open, close, latch and ten- sion tarps safely and efficiently. The system provides automated opening and closing, front-to-back and back- to-front rolling, front and rear latching and front and rear tensioning. – Todd Dills TomTom's GPS device for truckers TomTom's Trucker GPS features more than 1,500 points of interest, such as fuel stops and travel cen- ters. The device is compatible with Siri voice recogni- tion and Google Now for hands-free access. The GPS updates traffic in real time, and driv- ers can configure the device based on their truck's dimensions, weight, cargo and maximum speed. It is available with a 6-inch or 5-inch screen. – James Jaillet The TomTom Trucker GPS can give alerts for imminent traffic backups to help prevent sudden braking. XL Specialized's lowboy trailers XL Specialized Trailers has two new lowboy trailers. The XL Galvanized 80 Mechanical Full-Width Gooseneck is suited for areas with harsh weather and road condi- tions and has a 15,600-pound base weight. The XL 110 Low-Profile Hydraulic Detachable Gooseneck offers a five-position ride height. Based on neck position and load, the deck can be leveled by using the adjustable wheel-area ride height. The trailer has the same capacity as trailers with an 18-inch deck height. – Matt Cole The XL 110 Low- Profile Hydraulic Detachable Gooseneck offers a loaded deck height of 15 inches. The Pro Series LHD is Cooper's premium tire for long-haul drive applications. Plantronics' Voyager 104 has a moisture- protected design and coating to help resist damage from sweat and the elements. TarpStop's Fastrak Evolution rolling tarp system is designed for automated opening, closing, latching and tensioning.
