33 AGGREGATES MANAGER / July 2017 by Therese Dunphy | Editor-in-Chief | tdunphy@randallreilly.com SUPPLYLINES Screen Play When it comes to screen media, new options focus on quick change-outs and customization. Polydeck Screen Corp. introduced Kwikdeck, a patent-pending system that allows producers with single- or double-crowned deck surfaces to take advantage of a no-risk approach to trying modular rubber screen media. By simply unbolting the side clamp rails and removing the wire cloth and bucker bar covers, the producer is ready to install modular rubber screen panels without any modifi- cations to the existing deck frame. Simply slip on the new bucker bar covers, connect the SnapStraps, reattach the side clamp rails, and install the Kwikdeck screen panels. The manufacturer estimates that a 4- by 6-foot section can be changed in about 45 minutes. The quick change system allows producers to evaluate modular screen media or to rotate between multiple products. Polydeck Screen Corp. | www.polydeckscreen.com Unified Screening's SuperFlow screen is a hybrid polyurethane and wire screen option. Vibrating action, combined with the high percentage of open area, is said to make it a long-lasting and self-cleaning screen. Engineers designed the independently vibrating wire to frequency levels that prevent material buildup and blinding while correctly sizing product, allowing it to handle damp and sticky applications. Four screen styles are available. Unified Screening | www.unifiedscreening.com Haver & Boecker offers the Tyler brand of hooked engineered screen media as an alternative to deck conversions. Tensioned screen media can be used on a cambered deck, eliminating the need for a deck conversion when switching from woven wire to poly- urethane screen media. This allows an operator to test the media without investing in a deck conversion. Available with its Ty-Max and Ty-Wire screen media, it can be blended with woven wire or self-cleaning screens on cambered decks.
