www.BoatingIndustry.com April 2014 | Boating Industry | 47 Products & Services YAMAHA TALON Yamaha Marine Group has launched a new series of high-performance aluminum propellers for its mid-range outboards that are standard- equipped with the exclusive Shift Dampener System (SDS), bringing no-clunk, quiet operation to a broader range of boats. Named Talon, these new propellers were designed specifi cally for larger Yamaha mid-range outboards and have an all-new blade architecture that's perfect for pontoon, walleye, deep V and fi berglass boats. DOMETIC MARINE WATERMAKERS Dometic Marine has announced a new line of watermakers: the Dometic Sea Xchange Sea Water Reverse Osmosis system and the Dometic Spot Zero Fresh Water Reverse Osmosis system. The Sea Xchange Sea Water Reverse Osmosis System comes in four models, with capacities of 600 to 2,200 gallons per day. The Dometic Spot Zero Fresh Water Reverse Osmosis system uses water from the available dock hose or sea water reverse osmosis systems for spot-free cleaning of boat exteriors. It can also be used to fi ll a boat's freshwater tanks for spot- free dishes and glassware and is available with capacities of 2,000 or 3,000 gallons per day. BAD ELF GPS PRO The small, compact, water-resistant handheld Bad Elf GPS Pro is an Apple-approved accessory that wirelessly connects (via Bluetooth wireless technology) up to fi ve users of an iPod touch, iPhone or iPad to share real-time, direct satellite GPS data for display on digital charts and other compatible marine apps on board via satellite anywhere in the world. The GPS Pro was the winner of the TechRadar Best GPS Device award at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show. KONA 17 SPORTRIB Team Scarab, in conjunction with Torqeedo Motors and Ruckmarine, has introduced the KONA 17 SportRIB, the fi rst zero-emission, all-electric sport boat. The KONA 17 achieves a top speed of up to 27 mph, and cruises on-plane at 15 mph. For typical recreational usage, the KONA 17 can deliver one to two hours of active runtime. At no-wake speeds, the runtime is in excess of 3.5 hours. The KONA 17 is available in two- and four-seat models. ROBALO 226 CAYMAN With a retail price of $36,995 including a 150 hp Yamaha and a trailer, the 226 is the second in a three boat Cayman Series that marks Robalo's entry into the increasingly popular bay boat fi shing arena. Sporting a 22'6" centerline with a trailerable 8'6" beam, the 226 Cayman with its dry-riding freeboard and innovate 15 degree variable deadrise bottom design is well suited for a wide variety of water conditions.
