Older vehicles are showing a decline in web hits overall, while newer vehicles are showing an increase. Sport bikes averaged 4 percent fewer web hits on KBB.com than in Q1 2013. As usual, most of the bikes on the Top 10 most researched list are 600cc displacement. The regular excep- tion, the 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 250R, has been joined by the 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300. The only motorcycle in the sport bike segment to see a rise is the 2007 Suzuki GSX-R600, which has doubled its lead over the No. 2 bike in the past three months, Pelissier said. Although most of the vehicles in the Top 10 most researched dirt bikes category show a loss in web hits, interest in dirt bikes was up 4 percent. A majority of the vehicles generat- ing the most interest in this off-road category were motocross bikes, although the leaders in the larger displacement category both fall into the dual sport classification. Only one bike manufactured after the 2009 model year, the 2013 Honda CRF250L, appears on the list. The vehicle slipped from the No. 4 spot on the list in the fourth quarter of 2013. Scooters received an average of 2 percent fewer KBB.com web hits in Q1 2014 than in Q1 2013. The Top 10 most researched scoot- ers list contains a wide range, from a 19 per- cent decrease in interest (for the 2009 Honda Ruckus) to a 21 percent gain (for the 2006 Suzuki Burgman 650). The list also is diversely populated, including models from the 2005 to the 2013 model year, and varying in displace- ment from 50cc to 650cc. The 2009 Yamaha Zuma 125, which held the No. 1 spot for the past year, has ceded its position to the 2013 Honda PCX150. The three newest models on the list all are Hondas. PSB The 2013 Honda CRF250L entered the KBB.com Top 10 viewed dirt bikes under 400cc list during Q1. KBB CONTINUED FROM PAGE 31 P30x36-PSB6-Cycle.indd 33 4/23/14 10:58 AM
