SCORPION ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH INDIANAPOLIS MOTOR SPEEDWAY Santa Fe Springs, Calif.-based Scorpion Sports Inc. USA will be partnering with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) to produce a limited edition IMS commemo- rative riding jacket. The "1909 IMS" is an exclusive vintage leather jacket that will be available at this summer's MotoGP event in Indianapolis. "Our goal is to fuel the passion behind motorcycle racing in America through one of the most iconic brands in motorsports," said Jay- son Wickenkamp of Scorpion USA. "Indianapolis Motor Speedway has always been synonymous with world-class racing, we are excited to provide the fans with a world-class motorcycle garment that bears the wing-and- wheel emblem." The "1909" premium vintage leather jacket is expected to be available in late July and will be for sale in limited quantities at the Grand Prix Aug. 8-10. LEATT UNVEILS KNEE BRACE Leatt Corporation announced that its new 3-point knee brace will be in stores and available for sale during the third quarter. The knee brace is designed to be used by those participating in off road- motorcycling but also has application in high-velocity winter sports, such as skiing and snowboarding. The company believes that it also has the potential to be used as a medical device. The company said that it plans to have the knee brace cleared as a medical device in Europe, and has plans to explore its use in conjunction with medical procedures in the U.S., subject to clear- ance with the relevant U.S. regulatory agencies as necessary. "We believe the intro- duction of the knee brace will be a watershed event for our company," CEO Sean Macdonald said. "Clearing it as a medical device would potentially open up entirely new markets around the world for the sale of our products to non-athletes as an orthopedic brace in a variety of applications." BROCK'S PERFORMANCE NOW DISTRIBUTING SPRINT FILTER Brock's Performance has announced that it has secured distribution rights for Sprint Filter products. The 62-year-old, Milan, Italy-based company designs and manufac- tures high-performance air filters and intake systems for 150 bikes —everything from Japanese sportbikes to Harley-Davidson's American iron. Sprint Filter air filters helped capture the 2013 FIM Moto3 and World Supersport championships, as well as two other world titles since 2010. Currently, they're found in the airboxes of many top Grand Prix machines, World Superbikes and World Supersport racers. Built from a unique, polyester fabric made with 5-micron threads, Sprint Filter products trap airflow-reducing dust and debris particles down to 0.08 millimeters. With optimized shapes and higher fins, they have more sur- face area than the cotton-elemented competi- tion. This technology results in air filters that offer better filtration, greater air volume and more consistent flow, according to Brock's Performance. The latest addition to Sprint Filter's streetbike lineup are revolutionary, patented, waterproof air filters for stock and modified Harleys. PIAA NAMES FIRST-EVER NATIONAL SALES MANAGER Mark W.
