Over 200 people attended the show, which revolved around the company's 30th anniversary. "In honor of 30 years in the access control industry, we hosted an event that incorporated all the people who helped us achieve this milestone – our wonderful customers, manufacturers and Encon employees. The event ex- ceeded our expectations in so many ways – we had an amazing attendance and we properly honored Encon," said Betty Mullin, president and CEO of Encon Electronics. The trade show included seven power training workshops, a compli- mentary BBQ lunch, and 17 diverse exhibitors, including American Ac- cess Systems (AAS), All-O-Matic, Ameriline, BD Loops, Byan Sys- tems, Diablo Controls, DoorKing, Successful Encon Electronics trade show marks three decades of service to access control dealers Ron Swartz and Orlando Agu- irre, reps for Nice Apollo Gate Operators, with Encon tech Billy Kennedy. Vendors took advantage of the op- portunity to introduce new products to the many Encon dealers on hand, and customers had all the benefits of a convenient local trade show. Attendees learned about new gate operators and accessories and found the power workshops extremely valu- able. Others enjoyed watching Encon employees get soaked by the Pitch Burst or earning raffle tickets playing festive games. Nearly 50 prizes, including gift cards and anniversary themed bas- kets, were raffled off throughout the day. "The overwhelming success of this event was appreciated by every- one who attended," commented Jeff Harris, vice-president of sales and operations. He continued: "The large attendance of loyal dealers and manu- facturers proves that independent dis- tributors are alive and well and are a crucial element in the further success of our industry. We thank all attend- ees and vow to continue providing ex- citing and educational events for years to come."
