The compact, lightweight wrench provides easy fastener access and two-way ratcheting action, with an effortless han- dle-swing mo- tion, the compa- ny said. F i n g e r switches are readily accessi- ble for quickly changing ratch- eting direction. The 25° offset design maintains clearance between fingers and chain link fabric when fastening fence hardware such as tension bands, brace bands and rail end cups. Maneuverable 12-point box heads, at each end of the wrench, grasp stan- dard 1/2 inch and 9/16 inch hex fas- teners from multiple angles. The box heads also keep the wrench in contact with the fastener for superior control, and through-hole socket openings ac- commodate any fastener length. Designed for long service life, the Malco RRW6 wrench exceeds ASME minimum torque requirements. Hardened sockets and protective nickel chrome plating compliment a solid plastic tool core sandwiched be- tween 1/8 inch (3.18 mm) steel plates to ensure that the wrench will func- tion in cold, wet or dirt encountered on the job. Past Field Training School instructors gather for reunion Past instructors of the American Fence Association Field Training School (FTS) gathered the weekend of Sept. 26-28 in Amity, Penn. The instructors taught at Field Training Schools held in Waco, Tex., Athens, Ga., and Tulsa, Okla. The reunion was in honor of Fred Venette from Colorado, who was the master instructor of FTS. He, along with his wife, Cheryl, traveled to Pennsyl- vania for the reunion. Attending the reunion were Buck Buchanan from Pennsylvania, David and Linda Clark and family of Georgia, Michael Kalinich of Ohio, Mark and Marge Knudson of Wisconsin, Don and Debbie Roach of Kansas, Kevin and Brenda Roberts of Indiana, Pat Sadler from New York, Steve Sarson of Kentucky, CD Stroud of Florida, Virgil Thomas of Colorado, and John and Sharon Wall of Pennsylvania. The event was hosted by Bill and Judy Iams at their family farm in Amity. While there everyone enjoyed a hog roast and birthday cake celebrating the 70th birthday of Cheryl Venette. The evening ended with fireworks. Plans are in the works for another reunion, so if anyone would like to be invited to the next, e-mail Judy Iams at Judy@LogCabinFence.com.
