January 1995 Here are some articles and items that were being covered in the Janu- ary 1995 issue of World Fence News, 20 years ago this month. • The cover photo for January was of a white board fence stretching to the horizon against a beautiful Cali- fornia sunset. The fence was support- ed by concrete fence posts, painted white to match the rest of the fence. The concrete posts were poured in place using a unique post form manu- factured by Steeltree Industries of La Habra, California. January 2000 Here are some articles and items that were being covered in the Janu- ary 2000 issue of World Fence News, 15 years ago this month. • The cover for January showed a gated entrance to an upscale residen- tial condominium development west of Austin, Texas. It was silhouetted by the after- noon sun. The development is located in the River Place subdivision, one of dozens that were springing up in the Texas Hill Country which restrict access and egress using automated gate systems. Gated entrances are not limited to the high-dollar properties as even moderately-priced developments are utilizing them in response to the de- mand by residents for more privacy and security. • New color brochure was an- nounced to educate consumers on chain link fencing options. • Construction contracting held steady, according to the F.W.
