FOCUS PSB Adventure Bikes 26 • August 17, 2015 • Powersports Business www.PowersportsBusiness.com 2005 BMW R 1200 GS tops pre-owned views Adventure touring segment also has V-Strom, Super Tenere in KBB.com top 10 BY LISA PELISSIER CONTRIBUTING WRITER Pre-owned adventure touring motorcycles, defined as high displacement dual sport motor- cycles equipped, or able to be equipped, for touring applications, saw a flattish number of searches on Kelley Blue Book's KBB.com during the first six months of 2015. The top 10 adventure touring motorcycles showed an average drop of 1 percent in KBB. com hits compared to one year ago. BMW was the most popular manufacturer of adventure-touring motorcycles for the first half of 2015, receiving 39 percent of KBB.com web hits. Not surprisingly, it was a BMW that took the No. 1 spot on the top 10 adventure-touring motorcycles list. BMW also occupied the most spots on the list, all with its R 1200 GS series. The Suzuki V-Strom 650 (2012, 2009 and 2007) and Yamaha Super Ténéré (2012) also made their way into the top 10 in searches on KBB.com. PSB Lisa Pelissier is a senior powersports analyst for Kelley Blue Book.
