MILITARY TRIBUTE RIG GETS V.A. RECOGNITION

T
he U.S. Department
of Veterans Aff airs last
month surprised West
Virginia-based owner-
operator Chuck Timbrook following
yet another mission of support and
appreciation of military veterans
and their families, this one centered
around Mother's Day.
"I never served, but to me, this is
like a medal of honor" says Tim-
brook.
The V.A. issued a bound certifi cate
of appreciation for his eff orts after the
Mother's Day run, when Timbrook,
his "Black Out" rig and several other
people took long-stemmed fl owers to
each veteran mom at the V.A. Medical
Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Black Out, a 1999 Freightliner
Classic, was dedicated to that particu-
lar center last year. Since then, it's led
at least fi ve parades, as well as other
military support events.
