The location and additional details will be forthcoming. This is not to be confused with the AFA Fence Industry Week that will be held in conjunction with the 2014 FENCETECH convention and trade exhibit in March 2014. Fence Industry Week will include: • Operator Installer School (Oct. 27-Nov. 2) • Certified Automated Gate Operator Installer (CAGOI) exam (Nov. 1) • Certified Automated Gate Systems Designer (CAGSD) School (Nov. 2-3) • CAGSD exam (Nov. 3) • Sales Training School (Nov. 3-5) • Fence Installation School (Nov. 3-8) • Certified Fence Professional (CFP) exam (Nov. 6) The AFA Fence Installation School will offer all eight of the core modules as well as the chain link and ornamental specialty disciplines for the first time. The School is designed to teach professional standards and best prac- tices-based installation to new and less-experienced fencers. It also provides training for more seasoned professionals who want to review the basics and assure that their installations are based on current standards and best practices. In addition, Fence Installation School will prepare students for AFA's new Certified Installer certification by offering the pre-requisite core fencing installation modules in the 4-1/2-day program. The instructor will assure that the instruction offers real-world, hands-on experience. The cost of the Fence Installation School tuition is $1,599 for employees of AFA members ($2,399 for nonmembers) and is broken down as follows: $1,100 for tuition which includes campus transportation during school hours; take-away job aids; classroom and hands-on instruction; workbook, certificate and hard hat; and $499 for hotel accommodations and food. Specialty course registration will cost an additional amount. Contact AFA for details.
