Here is one of his very first classics. Sadly, Jim passed away a few years ago, but his unique fence humor lives on. • • • Just in case anybody is interested, here's my own personal recipe for INGREDIENTS (1) existing fence (any height) (6) 1-5/8" tension bands (6) 2" tension bands (4) 48" tension bars (4) 1-3/8" rail cups (4) 1-3/8" brace bands (2) 2" brace bands (2) terminals and dome caps (1) joint top rail, 1-3/8" diameter (1) walk gate, any size, hinges, etc. All loose tie wires on truck cab floor at time job is sold. INSTRUCTIONS Throw all ingredients onto truck, making sure 1-5/8 bands are scattered through whatever else is on truck. Make sure fabric (11-1/2-12 ga.) is in pieces 3-4 feet long. Take time to make sure all pieces are tangled up with any leftover fabric also on truck. Scatter a new box of greasy nuts and bolts in sand and gravel (very important). Leave post hole digger stuck in the ground at fence yard after truck is loaded. Make sure you have dullest square point shovel you own, one with caked on cement preferred, on board. Stop at nearest free air station to air up tubeless tire on wheelbarrow. Read tire gauge wrong, put in 180 psi. (Apparently, 18 means 180 in increments of 10). Tire will blow off rim at 180-1/2 psi, so be very careful. Tire will leak down to 35 psi in a week or two. At Western Tube & Conduit customer satisfaction and quality are the first order of business. Our Fencepost and Fencerail production is ISO-9001:2008 certified - and our products are manufactured to meet all the applicable state, federal, industrial and regulatory specifications and requirements. While we regularly stock standardized products and sizes, we are happy to provide custom dimensions as well. Proceed to job site. Do not – repeat – do not go near building department, as no permit fee was figured in rock bottom price to customer. Do stop at nearest free air station to air up tubeless tire on wheelbarrow. Once on job site, proceed to corner, measure distance to nearest line post. Measure 7 times, divide 7 by total weight of your truck. If it's a halftonner, add 22,000. If 3 /4-ton, subtract 500 from total. This, of course, gets you no where, but it limbers up your mind. You're kinda drowsy from the ether fumes that suddenly sprayed out of the can of starting fluid on the cab floor. (Ya wondered where it got off to; now you know!) All our Fence products are galvanized with high purity zinc. We use high frequency welding (ERW) to turn the highest quality strip steel into tubing, and then a continuous hot-galvanizing process to zinc-coat the products smoothly and evenly. A zinc-rich interior organic coating, a chromate conversion coating, and a clear exterior organic coating provide the complete finish package that gives them superior protection against the elements and long life as a result. Gal-Z serves customers looking for shaped Fence tubing as well as corrosion-protected mechanical tubing. It can be purchased in squares and in rectangles, and it provides excellent environmental durability while also fulfilling the need for strength and weldability.
