They deal with a range of issues pertaining to automated gate and ga- rage door systems, including safety. These DASMA brochures are now available in PDF format. Access them through the DASMA web site, www.dasma.com. 1. The DASMA brochure presents a general overview of the work and scope of the association. 2. The Automatic Garage Door and Opener Safety & Maintenance Guide was created in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safe- ty Commission and the National Safe- ty Council. 3. The Gate System Safety Bro- chure offers helpful safety tips about operating automated vehicular gate systems. 4. Best Practices and Guidelines for Garage Door System Componen- tizers and Manufacturers. This joint DASMA and IDA document provides guidelines to support the responsi- bility of both the componentizer and the garage door manufacturer to give proper attention to all technical as- pects and safety features of a garage door system. 5. Guidelines for the Publishing of R-values and U-factors Associated with Residential and Commercial Ga- rage Doors, Using TDS-163. Safety labels and tags and vari- ous materials can be ordered through DASMA's non-member publications order form, also accessible through the web site. DASMA is North America's lead- ing trade association of manufacturers of garage doors, rolling doors, high performance doors, garage door op- erators, vehicular gate operators, and access control products.
