WORLD FENCE NEWS • SEPTEMBER 2014 • 35 Ramset announces program to help support DAV SUN VALLEY, Calif. — Veter- an gate operator manufacturer Ram- set Automatic Gate Systems, Inc. has announced a program under which it will donate a portion of the revenue from each gate operator sold to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). David Burr, Ramset sales and marketing manager, detailed the pro- gram and how it came about. "One morning at Ramset, I was talking with Bill Kerr, our general manager, and Robert Cummings, our technical manager, about how difficult it is for our returning vets to get the help they need and it really bothered us," said Burr. "I went to Juan Ramirez and Nor- ma Cordova, the owners of Ramset, and said, 'We're proud that Ramset is made in the USA. We're proud that we're keeping Americans employed and keeping America strong. Let's give back.' They both agreed, and asked what did I have in mind. "I said, 'Let's give a portion of ev- ery sale on every gate operator to the Disabled American Veterans. They shouted, 'We love it! Do it!'" Burr said he contacted Laura Rusche at the DAV and developed the following program. With the purchase of each Ramset gate operator, a por- tion of the proceeds will be donated by Ramset to the Disabled American Veterans organization. Ramset said it will donate a guaranteed minimum of $10,000 to the DAV under the pro- gram. For more details, visit the Ramset web site at www.ramsetinc.com/dav.
