JANUARY 2012 Celebrating our 28th year of publication • Be sure to visit us online at www.worldfencenews.com In order to keep with the times and better meet the needs of its members, historic, nationally renowned Worces- ter Country Club in Worcester, Mass. recently updated its facilities with a new $1 million pool and recreation complex. During the design phase of the project, the country club saw the need for a new fence that would not only expand the original pool area, but also define it visually and help repurpose the lawn so the country club could host more events. 1-888-487-3448 Featuring amenities such as four pools, a large water slide, a tennis court, a basketball court and a patio for social gatherings, the new complex provides more diverse recreational op- tions for member families and adds to the visual appeal of the country club. One of the key aesthetic features of the addition is a beautiful stepped vinyl perimeter fence installation in- stalled by veteran Worcester contrac- tor Miller Fence Co. "But, after we looked at the fence's aesthetic value and its continu- ing maintenance costs, we elected to go with a high-quality vinyl fence for increased longevity and lower mainte- nance." Worcester Country Club hired Miller Fence Co. for the project and consulted the contractor for guidance in selecting the best suited product for the job. www.ironworldfencing.com Striking stepped vi ecr and r The vice-president of the s and c Go vernor b the u said dated, f ence' originall eation complex at historic W ny l fence dramatically accent or ces ter Countr s new pool y Club costs, y t was still functional. y h intended to o s aesthetic v airman of the boar W r cester Countr keep alue and its contin d the ' s F cedar But after the acilities Committee y Club Boar d of f y uing maintenance ence; looked at the it was creased long the y elected to go with a high-quality vin vity and lo e Fence Co. f contractor f o f r the pr (Photos cour o wer maintenance oject, the r the job. or guidance in selecting the best suited pr yl f y consulted c tesy Cer t . l osel ainT After hiring Miller ence f o eed Corporation) y with the r in- oduct contin ued on pa g e 78
