102 nAugust 2016n www.thunderpress.net THUNDER PRESS July Winner Sam Burns Congratulations to Sam Burns from Texas, who got a perfect score on the July issue's Name That Time Machine Trivia Quiz. Sam has migrated south from his central Texas hometown of Abilene to beautiful San Marcos, where he's enjoying his retirement from his career as an air- frame and powerplant mechanic. Sam's appetite for riding took root when he fi rst hopped on a bike in 1962, and he eventually fed that hun- ger with his fi rst bike, a Honda S90. He's been riding nonstop ever since. Though he usually rides alone, his favorite local shop is Gruene Harley-Davidson in New Braunfels, Texas. He's instilled his love of riding throughout the family and sent us this picture of his son Chad, his 97-year-old mother, and himself. If you see the Burns pack out riding, give 'em a holler and give Sam a pat on the back for his rare perfect score. 4 Visit our Facebook page to answer the trivia quiz.
