55 www.thunderpress.net THUNDER PRESS nNovember 2016n has been given back the freedom that most of us take for granted. Shawn has put over 1,000 miles on his new ride on the back roads of his hometown in Tennessee and also participated in the Run for the Wall event this year. The emotions were strong as the reality of this new bike set in and how amazing Thunderstruck is to create an amazing ride for our wounded hero who sacri- fi ced so much for our country. I also had the honor of meeting two new recipients of the Combat Hero Bike Build. The fi rst was a cor- poral in the Marines from Medford. He lost both legs and more in the war in Afghanistan. He was a very soft-spoken young man that had only done one tour. The other was an Army offi cer that had served from 1987 to 2009. He lost one of his legs in Baghdad in '09. Both of these men gave so much to fi ght for our country and what an amazing thing the Combat Hero Bike Build Eagle Warriors are doing to give them the freedom that they lost defending ours. Eagle Warriors is trying to get their mission out to the world, and they are doing a great job from our town of Medford. Check their website and help give these great men and women the freedom they have lost. When I asked Army offi cer Ken Kraft what he would like to share with the readers of THUNDER PRESS, he stated, "It's not what you can't do; it is what you can do! Don't let any disability stop you from doing what you love!" Great words spoken from two great heroes. Thank you, gentlemen, for your ser- vice and enjoy your new rides. Mark and I got to chat a little longer and he stated that one of the things he loves about this show, aside from helping some great organiza- tions, is that he gets to slow down and talk with people that he usually does not have time to do. The shop is always hopping with new custom rides, lots of interaction with custom- ers to assure they get the build they are looking for and just running the business, so he does not get the down time he likes to chat with his friends. At this event he loves the camarade- rie, and the outpouring of support, and the time he gets to interact and visit with friends from all over. 4 Thunderstruck Continued from page 52 Al Fosdale with his awards and custom trike, winner of 2016 Thunderstruck Custom Bike build Visit these participating shops for dynamometer tuning and run your bike at its full potential A DYNOJET Dynamometer paired with an expert technician can give you the assurance that your bike is running at its full potential.
