Financial Peace of Mind Partnering with Catholic families to achieve financial peace of mind ... ... it is a responsibility that the Society takes very seriously. In 2011 our members received over $9 million in benefits through their life insurance and annuity certificate ownership. The chart below shows what percentage of benefit dollars was distributed in each category. Whether it is retirement payments from an annuity or certificate loans going towards college tuition, Society members can feel true comfort in knowing that NCSF is there in their time of need. Moving Faith into Action HEARTS AND HANDS EVENTS 2011 Through the NCSF court system, our members move their faith into action in local communities. They give of themselves so their community will improve and the people living there will have better lives. Our Hearts and 26 Hands matching funds program is instrumental in helping where the need is greatest. Throughout the year our courts held 51 Hearts and Hands events donating $157,749.47 for local causes. Courts raised $121,367.82 and NCSF matched $36,381.65. These funds help to support Catholic education, Catholic parishes, crisis pregnancy centers, local fire departments, Hospice centers and individuals in need. Our members also visit hospitals and nursing homes, collect towels to be donated during Lent, collect used eyeglasses for the needy, make rosaries for missionaries, and are an integral part of their parish community.
