A Snow Goer magazine survey of 439 snowmobilers — most of them subscribers to the magazine — found that of those plan- ning to buy a new snowmobile from a dealer in the next 12 months, 71 percent plan to buy it from a dealer. Only 9 percent of those who plan to buy a used snowmobile in the next 12 months plan to buy it from a dealer, with 20 percent who plan to buy a used snowmobile in the next year planning to do so from a private party. Also, the survey by Snow Goer, a sister pub- lication of Powersports Business, found that: Newer snowmobiles are all the rage, with 33 percent reporting that they own a sled that is a 2013 model-year or newer.
