www.cheersonline.com 10 • April 2015 DRINK CULTURE PRODUCTS Tecate has announced the introduction of Tecate Diablo, a Mexican beer mix based on the traditional Michelada recipe of beer: real tomato juice, lime and spices. Diablo is Tecate's second offering in the Michelada category, and provides a spicier take on the classic. Tecate Diablo is avail- able in a 24-oz. can format. Captain Morgan rum introduced three new flavors: Pineapple, Coconut and Grapefruit. The flavors are five-times distilled and made with fine cane molasses. Each expression blends natural flavors with Captain Morgan white rum. All three are 70 proof and available nationally, with a suggested retail price of $15.99 for a 750 ml.-bottle. Irish Whiskey Yellow Spot has officially entered the U.S. market. The 12-year-old Yellow Spot is matured in a combination of American bourbon, Spanish sherry and Spanish Malaga casks. This bonder's style, pot still Irish whiskey has a complex taste profile, possessing honey sweetness with pot still spices, the company says, and a suggested retail price of $99.99. Belvedere Vodka has introduced Wild Berry. Inspired by the summer berry harvests in Poland and North America, this vodka is a blend of Polish strawberries and American blueberries. This new flavor is available nationally at a suggested retail price of $29.99 for a 750-ml. bottle. Bud Light is offering a new cocktail-inspired product: Bud Light Mixx Tail. The beer is 8% ABV and available in three flavors: Long Island Iced Tea, Firewalker and Hurricane. Like the cocktails that inspired it, Mixx Tail is best served over ice, the company says. The new drink is available in 8-packs of 11.5-oz. recloseable aluminum bottles and single-serve 16-oz. and 25-oz. cans. Skinnygirl has introduced two new ready-to-drink products: Spicy Lime Margarita and a pinot noir. The spicy lime balances cool lime, spicy chili and tequila, the company says, while the pinot noir contains flavors of dark cherry, toasted oak and vanilla. Both products have less than 100 calories per serving. The Spicy Lime Margarita is available at a suggested retail price of $12.99 for a 750-ml. bottle, and the pinot noir is priced at $11.99. E. & J. Gallo has launched a shimmery liqueur Viniq, the fusion of premium vodka, moscato wine and natural fruit flavor. When shaken, Viniq shimmers, due to the same ingredient that gives frosting its shine, according to the company. Viniq is available nationally in 750-ml. bottles for a suggested retail price of $19.99.
