MOTORCYCLE Dealer meeting, Aftersales Conference set for Orlando The American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo) and BMW Motorrad USA have announced that the premium German brand will make its debut as the newest OEM part- ner for the third-annual event, scheduled for October 15-18 at Orlando's Orange County Convention Center. BMW is the most recently announced OEM participant of AIMExpo in 2015 and intends to take full advantage of the event's all-in-one platform to host both its annual Dealer Busi- ness Meeting and Aftersales Conference for its retailers in Canada and the U.S. In addition to the many activities with its retail partners, BMW plans the North American debut of several exciting custom bikes and to showcase multiple design concepts at AIMExpo. The innovative structure of AIMExpo allows exhibitors the unique opportunity to closely interact with trade, media and consumer attendees in a decidedly desirable setting, all highly appealing attributes for new exhibitors. Traditionally, the Dealer Business Meet- ing and Aftersales Conference were held as two separate meetings, at separate locations. The return on investment is enhanced by the opportunity to also unveil a key new product at a strategic time to all aspects of the North American marketplace. "AIMExpo is a rapidly growing event that delivers the perfect platform for BMW Motorrad USA to gather together our key partners. The annual Business Meeting and Aftersales Conference are strategically sched- uled to allow exclusive time and focus with our retailers, while also presenting them the opportunity to take in the full AIMExpo experience," said Sarah Schilke, national marketing manager, BMW Motorrad USA. "Beyond the core business with our retail- ers, AIMExpo provides the unique oppor- tunity for BMW to showcase our new 2016 models and aftersales products to the broad marketplace in an all-inclusive setting, and we'll be debuting an all-new display to do just that." "I am absolutely thrilled BMW will be join- ing us in Orlando in October, and for signifi- cantly more reasons than the fact that they are a renowned global OEM," said Larry Little, vice president and general manager, Marketplace Events Motorcycle Group. "In combining the site and timing of their legacy meetings, they are taking maximum advantage of the AIM- Expo platform for greatly improved business efficiency while also energizing the market through the reveal of new product. This type of deployment of the platform is exactly what we envisioned from the earliest conceptual moments of AIMExpo, and we look forward to welcoming new trade attendees to the show with BMW's dealer body." More than 270 exhibitors have already com- mitted to AIMExpo in 2015. FOUNDING MEMBER YAMAHA ALSO RETURNING AIMExpo and Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA, have announced that the legendary man- ufacturer has again committed to participate in the third-annual event, making them the first OEM partner to come aboard in 2015. Yamaha was an original OEM participant of AIMExpo in 2013 and plans to utilize the all-encompass- ing format to showcase products, offer demo rides and much more. Once again, Yamaha is developing plans that will bring its latest models to AIMExpo for all to see. This includes public debuts of key models that will soon be arriving in dealership showrooms. Advance previews like this, as well as the opportunity to demo a variety of products and interact face-to-face with brand representatives, are just a few of the enticing reasons for dealers and consumers alike to mark AIMExpo 2015 on their calendars.
