August Winner Dennis Johnson Congratulations to Dennis Johnson, the winner of the August issue's Name That Time Machine Trivia Quiz! Dennis is a resident of South Carolina and a longtime rider who got his fi rst introduction to riding at age 11. His love of riding grew into a love of racing after he got his fi rst Honda CB750 and in 1982 he started road racing. Dennis worked hard and went fast to ultimately achieve the title of AMA Southern Heavyweight Supersport Expert Champion in 1987. These days Dennis is tak- ing it easy in retirement and enjoying the wind in his beard while riding his 2014 Street Glide. He often rolls over to his favorite shop, Spartanburg Harley-Davidson, to peruse the latest stock. Dennis still keeps in touch with his former co-workers, going on rides with them. He says his favor- ite riding partner is longtime friend David Linehan. 4
