12 November/December 2016 Landscape and Irrigation www.landscapeirrigation.com POST-SHOW RECAP maneuverability and ease of use. The 2017 Pro-Walk was redesigned with features that make it easier to use than previous versions. One of the most notable changes, the Pro-Walk now features Gravely's premium X-Factor II Deck, a 10-gauge, all-steel welded deck that comes backed with a lifetime warranty. The 10-gauge deck has an integrated wear bar on its front with two additional gussets to guard against the leading edge and to prevent baffle bending. The deeper deck also allows grass to move more freely through the space, improving efficiency and quality of cut. The Pro-Walk was designed with new, intuitive steering controls, which offer a shorter learning curve while providing precision handling. Ergonomics were also considered when designing the new steering panel. The new Pro-Walk controls position the operator in a neutral position, reducing wrist and arm fatigue. In addition, adjustable handlebars provide four height positions to accommodate operators of any size. Also contributing to the machine's ease of use, a wide wheelbase provides superior hillside stability, while the flip-up side discharge chute increases maneuverability and reduces damage to the surrounding environment. Gravely also introduced new attachments for Pro-QXT two-wheeled tractor. The new attachments include a 32-inch snow blower, a 32-inch brush mower, and 36- and 48-inch finishing mowers. The Pro-QXT Tractor is designed for commercial, industrial and government facilities maintenance managers whose crews manage properties in urban environments. The Pro-QXT is a compact, walk-behind tractor with multiple attachments for completing a variety of tasks with a single machine. The new two-stage snow blower attachment has a 32-inch clearing width and a 21-inch housing height, with a throwing distance of up to 60 feet. Like most of the Ariens line of Sno-Thro units, the Pro-QXT's snow blower attachment has a cast iron gear case and commercial skid shoes for added durability. Gravely's 32-inch brush mower attachment is able to take down saplings as large as 1.5 inches in diameter and it built to power through thick brush. The mower has one to four inch height of cut range, and 5/16-inch hardened pivoting blades. By allowing the blade to pivot, the shock that would normally be put on the drive system is eliminated. The finishing mower attachment comes in either a 36- or 48-inch seven-gauge deck, both with a 1.5- to four-inch height of cut range. The Pro-QXT finishing mower attachments are also equipped with Gravely's constant belt tensioning system (CBT). The CBT maintains a constant belt tension, which produces a consistent blade tip speed, eliminates belt slippage that can damage belts and pulleys, improves engine efficiency, and eliminates spring adjustments to save time by assuring consistent cut quality. GT AirInject unveils Air2HP portable aerifier tool GT AirInject, Inc., unveiled its newest product — the Air2HP portable aerifier tool. The Air2HP may be used to quickly and easily spot- treat lawns, and to increase drainage, aerify and ease compaction on lawns, in flowerbeds, around tree roots, and in sand bunkers. The Air2HP may also be used on golf courses and sports fields. The Air2HP is introduced as a cost-effective counterpart to the company's popular aerification machine, the Air2G2. "The Air2HP makes the benefits of aerification more portable, accessible and affordable to landscaping companies," said Glen Black, president of GT AirInject, Inc. "Based on the success of the Air2G2, we knew that we needed to provide our customers with a portable, handheld tool for aerification. The result is the Air2HP." The Air2HP is a handheld device that uses a single probe to inject air beneath the surface of the turf. It fractures compacted soil as far as 40-inches beneath the surface, allows root systems access to air and improves drainage. It can be used to aerate tight spaces such as flowerbeds and tree bases, as well as for spot treatments on turf and in sand bunkers. The Air2HP does not disrupt the surface of the turf, meaning that treated areas are ready for use immediately af- ter aerification. The Air2HP requires an external air compressor, (135psi/1 hp./3 gal/2.4 scfm @ 90psi minimum) or may be used in conjunction with the Air2G2. Hannay Reels showcases multipurpose lawn care reels Hannay Reels exhibited several lawn care and maintenance reels designed for a wide array of uses. Hannay reels are constructed with a heavy-gauge steel frame and materials that can stand up to corrosive fertilizers, pesticides, and other hazardous materials. ■ EP6000 Series electric rewind reel: Heavy-duty reel designed for longer hose lengths in spray, water blasting, and water supply operations. Optional stainless-steel or aluminum swivel joint and stainless-steel hub assembly and risers are available. ■ E1500 Series electric rewind reel: Lightweight, compact reel designed for longer hose lengths in lawn care, high pressure, pest control, and water opera- tions. It accommodates 1/4-inch through 5/8-inch I.D. hoses. A direct crank is permanently attached. Standard pressure from 3,000 psi up through 10,000 psi is available. ■ N700 Series spring rewind reel: With a narrow frame and compact mount- ing base, this reel is ideal for wash-down, high-pressure, and general industrial operations. Honda launches OFI generators and new commercial lawn mower Honda launched new generators that offer superior, reliable and quiet performance along with light weight, portability and excellent fuel economy. Honda also unveiled its all-new commercial lawn mower for the professional landscaper — the HRC216K3HDA. Two all-new open-frame inverter (OFI) generators — the Honda EB2800i industrial model and the Honda EG2800i consumer model — expand the company's portable power offering for light construction and home use applications. These OFI generators deliver quiet operation, high-quality power, fuel efficiency, and long run times in a lightweight, portable package. Both new generators feature rugged, full-frame protection, are the lightest-weight open-frame generators in their class, and incorporate innovative features at an affordable price. The Honda EB2800i industrial OFI generator provides high-quality power for multiple tool use on the jobsite. At an industry-leading dry weight of less than 67 pounds, the EB2800i portable was
