FINANCIAL Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. (KMC) has announced a new consumer financing rela- tionship with Citi Retail Services, providing a private label credit card program in the U.S. The agreement gives KMC dealers another financing option for their customers. "Citi Retail Services will be a great fit for Kawasaki," said Bill Jenkins, Kawasaki senior vice president, Sales Operations. "This new revolving credit program offers Kawasaki dealers multiple options for financ- ing customers on all Kawasaki powersports products, accessories and apparel. We are confident that with the combined strengths of Kawasaki's industry leading products and Citi's vast consumer retail finance expertise, our dealers will experience retail success." Kawasaki's program with Citi Retail Ser- vices begins on Feb. 1. Customers will be able to apply for credit through an authorized Kawasaki dealership. "We are excited to partner with Kawa- saki, and we look forward to furthering our leadership in the dealer distribution market space," said head of Citi Retail Services, Craig Vallorano. EBR, THUNDERROAD FINANCIAL PARTNER ON RETAIL FINANCING ThunderRoad Financial, LLC is now offer- ing retail financing to participating EBR Motorcycle dealers. "ThunderRoad Financial has in the last three years developed a great reputation for providing competitive and flexible financing programs to motorcycle dealers and their enthusiasts. ARGO LAUNCHES RETAIL FINANCING PROGRAM In partnership with Dealer Direct in the U.S. and TD Auto Finance in Canada, ARGO announced its first North America-wide retail finance program. Available to ARGO's North American dealer network as of Jan. 1, the dual partner- ships provide ARGO dealers in both Canada and the U.S. with the ability to offer competi- tive financing programs to prospective cus- tomers and end users. "While Dealer Direct's track record of providing innovative finance programs to the powersports industry is well documented, never have we had as unique or innovative a product as ARGO," said Jon Vestal, national sales manager at Dealer Direct. "We're eager to roll out this new retail finance program to the market and look forward to not only assisting ARGO's U.S. dealer base to grow their business but also to help end users achieve their dream of ARGO ownership." Nationally, all departments grew. The Northeast was the only region to see decreases, with overall sales down 7.2 percent. The Northwest and South were up double-digits overall, with 15.2 percent and 10.2 percent increases, respectively. PARTS SALES Nationally, 882 dealers were up in parts, and 710 were down. SERVICE SALES In service, 986 dealers were up, and 580 were down. MAJOR UNIT SALES 800 dealers were up in unit sales, and 621 were down.
