WORLD FENCE NEWS • OCTOBER 2014 • 35 Rotary Gate Systems introduces new heavy duty cantilever gate truck assemblies PENSACOLA, Fla. — Rotary Gate Systems, Inc. announced it is now marketing a new line of cantile- ver gate truck assemblies. The heavy duty trucks were de- veloped specifically to work with the Rotary Gate Systems line of slide gate operators, but are a superior replace- ment for standard truck assemblies used on many cantilever gates, ac- cording to sales manager Shane Jones. "The truck frames are machined from a solid bar of aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum, which makes TA-100 truck assembly Triple S Products will donate portion of gross sales to the Knights of Heroes to benefit kids who lost military parent OVERTON, Neb. – Triple S Prod- ucts announced that over the next two months it will be donating 5% of all gross sales to the Knights of Heroes Foundation, a charity that helps kids who have lost a parent due to military service. "We are a small business looking to help increase awareness for a small charity, and in doing so we would like to pledge 5% of all sales through the months of October and November," said Brady Shafer, vice-president of Triple S Products. "Our mission was to find a charitable cause that we could contribute to and make a difference," Shafer added. While doing the search for a char- itable cause, Triple S looked at sever- al, including the likes of the Wound- ed Warrior Project and the American Cancer Society. "At the end of the day we felt like we could make the biggest impact with the Knights of Heroes Founda- tion, due to its smaller size. While the Wounded Warrior Project and others are outstanding causes, they are also multi-million dollar charities so what we can raise wouldn't be as import- ant to them as the Knights of Heroes," Shafer explained. The Knights of Heroes Founda- tion was created in January of 2007 by Lt. Col. Steve Harrold. He did so to commemorate the life of a friend and former pilot, Major Troy Lee "Trojan" Gilbert, who was killed during com- bat operations while flying his F-16 to protect ground troops being overrun by the enemy in the Al-Anbar Prov- ince, Iraq on November 27, 2006. At the time of his death, Major Gilbert was a husband and father of five children. Now, each summer, families with children between the ages of 11 and 17 are invited to at- tend the Knights of He- roes camp at absolutely no cost. While the kids are at camp, the moms and younger siblings spend the week visit- ing sites in and around Col- orado Springs. Lodging and travel arrangements are made for the families that attend from outside the local area. "What makes us stand out from other charities is that 100% of all do- nations go towards the cause," said Steve Harrold, founder of the Knight of Heroes. "From our camp mentors to our front office, everyone's time is donated without compensation. "Our goal is to help em- power children who have lost their fathers during military service by providing positive adult mentorship, character development, and lasting friendships forged during an annual wilderness adventure camp," Harrold said. "And with the help of Triple S Products and other outstanding businesses we have been able to expand and take our foundation to new heights." The adventure camp consists of everything from white water rafting to rock climbing, and each kid has their own mentor assigned to them. Triple S Products is a small busi- ness that sells skid steer attachments, compact tractor attachments, fence installation tools and several other items for the fencing and construction industries.
