Tragic accident claims life of Encon Electronics salesman Shane Kilby Shane Michael Kilby, 26, a sales- man for Encon Electronics, drowned August 23, 2014 in the American Riv- er near Sacramento, Calif. Mr. Kilby was born Aug. 8, 1988 in Hayward, Calif. He was a resident of Castro Valley. He is survived by his parents, Marcie and Michael; brother, Jus- tin (Alejandra); sisters, Rachel and Emma; as well as other family mem- bers and friends. Mr. Kilby's brother, Justin, also works at Encon Electronics in techni- cal sales. He loved life and sports, especial- ly soccer, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was an avid fan of the Oakland Raiders and Oakland A's, and loved the outdoors. "This young man was taken from the world far too early," said Jeff Harris, Encon's VP of Sales and Operations. "He was an in- credibly upbeat individual that always had a joke to tell and a smile to share. His passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew him. He had been with Encon since 2010 and was life- long friends with several of our em- ployees. To say he will be missed is a major understatement." Shane Kilby Important deadlines on the horizon for FenceTech 2015 There are several important deadlines for FenceTech 2015 ap- proaching, especially for exhibitors. As most know, FenceTech 2015 will be held at the Orange County Convention Center, a brief drive from tourist destinations and the Orlando International Airport. The dates are Feb. 3-6, 2015, with the trade show exhibits open Feb. 4-6. A wide range of educational topics and chapter-focused events are in- cluded in Fence Industry Week. Here are some notable dates pertaining to trade show exhibitors: December 1 – Deadline to re- ceive sponsor recognition in Pocket Guide. December 1 – Last day for ex- hibitor descriptions and product in- dex for Pocket Guide. January 2 – Advance shipping begins. January 12 – Last day to request early move-in on February 1. January 14 – Last day to receive Freeman discount price. January 22 – Advance shipping ends. February 1 – Early set up – Must be approved by show manage- ment prior to January 12. February 2-3 – Move-in and exhibitor set up: first day of onsite shipping. February 4-6 – Exhibit Hall open. February 6 – Last day of exhib- its, dismantle begins at show close (4 p.m.) February 7 – Dismantle until 11 p m.
