Synchrony Financial (NYSE:SYF), a premier consumer financial services com- pany with an 80-year heritage, on Sept. 26 announced a multi-year renewal of its pro- gram to provide consumer financing for pow- ersports products distributed by Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. (KMC). KMC markets and distributes Kawasaki brand motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides and Jet Ski watercraft through a network of approximately 1,100 independent retailers, with close to an additional 7,700 retailers spe- cializing in general purpose engines. The agreement extends a consumer financing relationship between Synchrony Financial and KMC that began in 2010. Qual- ifying buyers will continue to have access to special financing options and exclusive offers for Kawasaki products through KMC's dealer network in the United States. "We're pleased to continue working with Kawasaki to offer competitive promotional installment financing at dealers throughout the United States," said Glenn Marino, exec- utive vice president and CEO, Payment Solu- tions, Synchrony Financial. "This renewal reinforces our leadership in the powersports industry and our continued work with lead- ing manufacturers and dealers to provide a seamless and efficient financing experience." A study commissioned by Synchrony Financial of powersports customers explores the path to purchase and found that, while value is important, the majority of shoppers choose a brand based on quality and trust. It also confirmed the importance of financing with 76 percent of survey respondents who have used dealer financing saying it helps make large purchases more affordable, and 52 percent saying they would not have made the purchase, or would have gone to another retailer, had financing not been available. "Synchrony Financial shares our pas- sion for customer service and helping people take home their dream products the same day," said KMC Sales Operations senior vice president Bill Jenkins. "Its deep expertise in the powersports industry provides signifi- cant value to our business and helps dealers increase sales." Synchrony Financial will also serve as title sponsor for the 2017 Kawasaki Dealer Busi- ness Meeting and 50th Anniversary Celebra- tion in November. BAD BOY OFF ROAD ANNOUNCES SPECIAL FINANCING OFFER Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc., a Tex- tron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, announces special financing for its Bad Boy Off Road brand vehicles, the 80 hp Stampede, Recoil, Recoil iS, Recoil iS Crew and Ambush iS side- by-sides, as well as the Onslaught 550 ATV. For a limited time only, qualifying consum- ers can purchase any of these vehicles and receive zero-percent interest financing for 48 months. This special, limited-time financing offer is made possible through a partnership with Sheffield Financial. "There is no better time than now to get a Bad Boy Off Road side-by-side or ATV, whether you're attacking a trail, hunting game or working around the farm," said John Collins, vice president, Consumer for Textron Specialized Vehicles. "And we think customers will be especially excited to take advantage of this offer on the new Stampede, which leads the industry on the features that drivers told us matter most." AEGIS POWERSPORTS PARTNERS WITH CHARITY Aegis Powersports announced that it has incorporated the Colorado-based Motor- cycle Relief Project (MRP) into its new fall off-road promotion. With MRP joining the campaign, a portion of the proceeds generated by the promotion will be used to allow more veterans to participate in one of MRP's off-road motorcycle adventure tours. These relief rides provide veterans coping with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) opportunities to decompress, connect with other veterans and learn new skills for cop- ing with their injuries in a safe, respectable and fun environment. Aegis Powersports recently announced its new off-road campaign dubbed "play dirty" that urges riders to protect their off-road units with F&I products that allow them to spend more time in the dirt enjoying their rides. The campaign is timed to support the seasonal efforts of Aegis' dealer partners who promote off-road vehicles in the fall. Work- ing together, Aegis Powersports and the Motorcycle Relief Project will now be able to provide more off-road tours to more veter- ans and add new riding venues. "We are proud to support the efforts of the Motorcycle Relief Project," stated Brian Weaver, vice president of sales at Aegis Powersports and a military veteran himself. "Powersports have helped shape the lives of many of our team members at Aegis Powersports, not only profes- sionally, but through family involvement in dealerships, industry groups, races, record-setting rides and even one marriage that involved personal watercraft. We are honored to be associated with the great team at the Motorcycle Relief Project who are using the healing powers of motorcycle rides to help our military veterans." "Aegis Powersports is comprised of an experienced team of people who truly are passionate about powersports," noted Tom Larson, executive director of the Motor- cycle Relief Project. "We are pleased to be working with Aegis and appreciate their dedication to supporting both powersports and our military veterans."
