Tell your friends, employees and business associates that they are now able to view The Fencers Almanac in a fully interactive format online, as well as the monthly editions of World Fence News! Visit www.worldfencenews.com spouse program is being brought back under the direction of Evie Eisenberg. This promises to be a wonderful opportunity for the spouses to have funfilled experiences in and around the City of Houston. I would hope that the stage has been set for you to come see why this could be a wonderful experience to help you grow in the industry while having some fun at the same time. I have a few more thoughts to mention, but later on. I always learn something, and in many cases, a lot of somethings, from the many years Ive attended FENCETECH shows. Perhaps one of the most important things is meeting with many of you who stop by and visit at the World Fence News booth, or those whom I have had the privilege to meet and chat with throughout the week at the show. I am always grateful for the time spent with each and every one of you for what you have added to my personal growth over my 30 years of association with this industry. That alone would bring me back each year! Now to those few extra thoughts that I mentioned earlier that I would like to share. In addition to chatting with Santo, your new president-elect, I had the opportunity to chat with long time professional friend Henry Kim of Summit Steel Fabricators who is based in Houston. When I asked Henry for some quick thoughts as to what Hous- ton has to offer, he shared the following: 1. Houston has a fine selection of restaurants for all tastes; most are reasonably priced and noted for their large portions. 2. The NASA Space Center is located in Houston, and open to visitors. 3. Then there is Galveston, which is approximately 40 minutes from the NASA Space Center on the Gulf, which has beautiful areas for walking and sight-seeing in general. (I am told that, at the time of the show, spring time temperatures are in play.) 4. In the downtown Houston area is Discovery Park, which has the arts and cultural center, galleries and museum. The famous Houston Stock Show and Rodeo will also be going on if you are inclined to take that in. There will be an official AFA outing to the rodeo also. The opportunities that I have mentioned, and perhaps some that I havent mentioned, are certainly there for all of you to take advantage of, if you so choose. I am also aware of those of you who will have your reasons for not attending FENCETECH 2013. I believe that for those of you who make the time to attend some or all of what FENCETECH has to offer, you will add yet another chapter to your life experience as well as that of a professional in the fence industry. As always, we hope that this column will give you a reason to continue to grow, and to help you to realize that Profit Is Not A Dirty Word!. See you in Houston!
