Jackpot 2013 trade show date nears Time is drawing near for the Garden State AFAs Jackpot 2013 fence, deck and railing trade show. The show is held every two years in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and trade show officials stress that the show will go on despite Superstorm Sandy taking direct aim at Atlantic City last October. There are absolutely no negative issues relating to the Jackpot show due to Sandy, reported trade show chairman Terry Fielden. The hotel, casino and ballroom facilities are fine, and there are no transportation problems that would hinder anyone getting there, he said. Jackpot 2013 is on! The show will be held in the Mark G. Estess Arena at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino on the Boardwalk Jan. 25-26, 2013. A series of valuable educational seminars will be held on Friday, with the show kicking off with a cocktail reception on Friday night. The trade show will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The Jackpot show has gained a reputation for being manageable, effective and, importantly, fun, noted Fielden. It is the premier fence, deck and railing show on the East Coast. Id like to again stress that Atlantic City is open for business. The Boardwalk is standing, the casinos are open and Superstorm Sandy spared that part of the Jersey Shore from devastation. However, the beach towns to the north werent so lucky, and Sandy affected many residents of New Jersey and New York, including some of our fellow fencers, he stated. The GSAFA will be doing fundraising at Jackpot 2013 to directly benefit those affected, as well as organizing continuing efforts to help those in need both financially and physically. Those of us in New Jersey are seeing the TV campaign being run by the Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce publicizing all of this, but those outside the state probably arent aware of the situation, he stated.
