At this point, it might be best to review a method of making sure that you have the best opportunity to maximize your floor time. The most important aspect for maximizing ones floor time is to prioritize your vendor visits according to the importance to you. Normally, I prefer to implement this system by a process known as color coding. However, if you are unable to color code, then certainly use a pen or a pencil on a legal size piece of paper to list those vendors who are priority one for your visit, noting their booth numbers and listing them, for instance, from number one to ten. Santo also told me that Houston is referred to as contractor friendly, and as a result, landscape, concrete, and other professional contractors will be attending FENCETECH this year, which is an excellent opportunity to network. Further, Santo said that there will be a free barbeque for the first thousand people registering for the show, sponsored by the City of Houston. (If you have never attended a Texas style barbeque, I strongly encourage you to not miss this opportunity.) Finally, Santo explained that the continued on page 36
