Driven to provide products with compo- nents, tech and style that riders crave, Dowco has taken its Fastrax Elite series back to the design lab. "Re-launching the Elite Series as the Back- roads Series is part of the Dowco focus on keeping products fresh and relevant to the loyal group of sport and adventure tour rid- ers," said Dowco brand manager Jim Miller. New styling elements consist of hi-viz internal liners, added reflectivity, stitching, updated styling and upgraded bag design and structure. Fully loaded, the bags are equipped with an electronics storage area with audio ports, hydration pack storage and external map pocket (tank bag only), waterproof zippers, attached sewn-in rain hoods, easily- deployed adjustable expansion, integrated carrying handles and backpack straps for easy transport, and universal strapping systems that make them easy to install on most bikes. The tank bag uses magnets and optional straps, so it can be used with plastic or metal gas tanks. Fastrax Backroads bags are constructed from rugged 1680-denier polyester and fea- ture a limited lifetime warranty. MSRPs are as follows: Fastrax Backroads Tail Bag, $139.99; Fastrax Backroads Tank Bag, $159.99; and Fastrax Backroads Saddle- bags, $199.99. FULMER UNVEILS NEW GRAPHICS FOR TOP-SELLING HELMET Fulmer has revealed the latest graphics for its top-selling 62B Nar- cosis full-face helmet. The special edition Narcosis Of The Deep 360-degree graphic depicts a psychedelic underwater battle between a scantily clad mermaid and a menacing angler fish. Just when you think you caught all the details, you notice what can only be described as a "skull crab" making his way across the top of the lid. "The artwork and details on the graphic are amazing. We really let the artist run with it and didn't hold him back from making a killer graphic. We wanted something that people would see on our dealers' shelves and would have to own, this graphic definitely achieved that," said Nick LoMonaco, director of powersports for Fulmer Helmets. The 62B is equipped with a built-in sun- shade, multiple adjustable vent ports and countless other features. KÜRYAKYN IMPLEMENTS MAP POLICY FOR BAHN In a move to enhance the value of the brand and uphold its stance as a leading provider of vital reseller support services, Küryakyn Holdings, LLC has announced the implementation of a Minimum Adver- tised Pricing (MAP) policy for Bahn. The announcement coincides with the recent launch of the Bahn brand and significantly supports the company's Crusher and XKür- sion MAP policies applied in August and October 2014, respectively. "The MAP policies we've implemented are a great way to enhance and protect the integrity of our brands," said John Petta, Küryakyn director of sales for distribution and business development. "Additionally, the policies strengthen our value proposi- tion for all of our dealers, from the smallest brick-and-mortar stores, to large ecom- merce customers." The brand-specific MAP policies are being implemented unilaterally and apply to all U.S.-based distributors and retailers, including catalog and Internet retailers, who resell Bahn, Crusher and XKürsion products. All three MAP guidelines limit resellers to no more than a 10 percent markdown from standard MSRP pricing. The policies are only applied to advertised pricing, and do not institute a maximum advertised price. MUSTANG CELEBRATES 35 YEARS Three Rivers, Mass.-based Mustang will see its iconic "Pegasus" winged horse logo soar to new heights in 2015. New products, a new look and a new catalog commemorating this milestone kick off a yearlong celebration from the venerable seat manufacturer. "This year marks Mustang's 35th Anni- versary, so we decided to commemorate the occasion in style," said Mustang Seats mar- keting director Marilyn Simmons. "Mustang has been handcrafting superior seats in our historic New England factory since 1980, so we really want to spread our wings this year, as it were." According to company folklore, the name comes from the legendary P-51 Mus- tang fighter plane, so that became the thematic ele- ment for the anniversary edition cata- log, the ads and soon-to- be-revamped website. Mustang has been syn- onymous with comfortable seats for Har- ley-Davidson, Victory and metric cruisers. "Not only have new seat styles been introduced, but brands like BMW, Indian and Triumph have been brought into the mix. Mustang now has everything from the RunAround — the lowest, leanest and meanest seat Mustang has ever made — to our new top-of-the-line touring seat for the Harley Rushmore models, the Summit," Simmons said.
