In September, Aegis Powersports announced several updates to its powersports F&I products, including integration with CDK Lightspeed, online claims authorization, new payment plans, a 90-day certified used option and a new tow- ing benefit for Aegis Armor and Preferred Road Hazard contracts. The updates were intro- duced to Aegis Powers- ports dealer partners on Sept. 1. The CDK Light- speed integration supports both EVO and NXT configurations and allows customer and vehicle data to seamlessly auto-populate in the Aegis Powersports platform without the need for double-entry by the F&I manager. A new online claims feature allows service personnel to easily submit claims online for even quicker approval and pay- ment. This is coupled with a new payment feature that allows claims to be paid and funds made available to the dealer instantly upon claim approval. "Both the CDK Lightspeed integration and new online claims function further enhance our customer experience for both F&I and dealer service personnel," noted Jeff Kenny, vice president of Dealer Products for Aegis Powersports. "It's important that our point- of-sale platform be easy to use and incredibly stable, especially on weekends, in the eve- nings and on major holidays, when dealers tend to be busiest. These enhancements allow our dealer partners to spend time focused on sales and customer service, not data entry." For dealer customers, new payment plans provide an additional way to fund F&I prod- ucts in the sales transaction. Coupled with the various product updates also released on Sept. 1, the Aegis Powersports product lineup remains comprehensive in its support of widespread customer demand. "Since launching last year, we have received tremendous feedback from our dealer partners, and we're pleased to react quickly and provide the product updates and options they want most," said Robert Large, senior vice president of Products and Marketing for Aegis Powersports. "Aegis Powersports has quickly become known as the premier F&I partner in the powersports industry in large part because we focus on providing the best service, products and expe- rience for our dealer partners." Aegis Powersports provides specialized dealer F&I products to powersports deal- erships, including service contracts, road hazard protection, priority maintenance, gap, etch, GPS tracking, theft deterrent and appearance protection. All Aegis Powersports products are backed by Aegis Security Insurance Company, rated "A" ("Excellent") by A.M. Best and operating on an admitted basis in all states. INSURANCE PROVIDER EXPANDS Houston-based BuyMotorcycleInsurance. com, a marketing website for TWFG Insur- ance Services for motorcycle insurance, has expanded to California, Illinois, Tennessee and Georgia. When a powersports dealer or pro- spective customer has an issue with insurance, the dealer staff can refer the customer to obtain the best possible premium and coverage. "We have been quoting and closing insurance for Polaris Slingshots because of our expertise and the number of insur- ance companies we represent," said Dan Herrera, agency principal for TWFG Insur- ance Services. "When the cost of insurance becomes an issue, the respective discounts available from insurance companies really comes into play." Insurance quotes, from as many as nine insurance companies, in now 30 states, are available to dealers and consumers. HONDA JOINS STOCK MARKET INDEX Honda Motor Co., Ltd. announced that the company has been selected for the first time as a component of the Dow Jones Sustain- ability Asia/Pacific Index. The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices ("DJSI") serve as one of the key benchmarks for socially respon- sible investing. Based on their annual DJSI review, S&P Dow Jones Indices and RobecoSAM pub- lished the components list on Sept. 14. In the list, Honda was ranked in the top three for the Automobile sector for the Asia Pacific region and added to the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia/Pacific Index.
