Sno-Barons revved up for Haydays Minnesota event will kick off snowmobile season BY LIZ KEENER MANAGING EDITOR Though fall doesn't even officially start until Sept. 22, the unofficial start to winter is set for a few weeks prior. The Sno-Barons Snowmobile Club's Haydays, which has traditionally been seen as the launch of the snowmobile season, hits North Branch, Minn., Sept. 7-8. Some changes for 2013 include seating added to the Motorsports Freestyle Expo area, increased access to electricity and more space created by the removal of a tree line. Though ample parking is available, parking lots and the swap road have moved, so event coordinator Meshell Gorsegner recommends attendees check the new map before heading to the show. Returning will be many of the same vendors, along with some new ones. The four snowmobile manufacturers will bring their large displays, and the ATV demo area will be available for customers looking to try new rides. "We're just trying to give the crowd that diversity of seeing everything," Gorsegner said.
