Eight of the top 10 models over 400cc and seven of the top 10 models under 400cc also were in the top 10 for Q1 2013. "Interest is up significantly from just one year ago, averaging 138 percent more hits in both categories compared to Q2 2012," said Lisa Pelissier, senior powersports analyst for Kelley Blue Book. "Japanese brands dominated the list of ATVs, with Polaris being the only non-Japanese manufacturer with a showing in the top 10. Most of the ATVs on the top 10 list are of the recreational-sport variety, with only Honda and Polaris demonstrating enough interest in the more utilitarian models to make the top 10 list." Pelissier also noted a shift in the UTV preowned market. "After a meteoric rise during the past few years, interest in utility vehicles P26x29-PSB10-ATV.indd 27 is beginning to level off," she said. "For the first time since this data has been tracked, there has been an average drop in KBB.com hits among the top 10 most researched utility vehicles." Top 10 utility vehicle hits dropped approximately 5 percent in Q2 2013 from Q1 2013, which continues a trend of slightly decreased interest in off-road vehicles of all types, she said. However, interest is up 112 percent from Q2 2012. "Once again, the 2008 Polaris Ranger RZR takes the top spot it has occupied for more than a year, increasing its lead over the No. 2 vehicle, the 2006 Yamaha Rhino 660 4x4, to 50 percent more hits. That's up from a 45 percent lead for Q1 2013 and a 34 percent lead in Q2 2012."
