www.PowersportsBusiness.com NEWS Powersports Business • July 11, 2016 • 7 Powersports DEALER Seminars set for Oct. 13-14 Powersports Business announced that Aegis Powersports has been named the sponsor of the Powering Profits track at the 2016 Power- sports DEALER Seminars, the annual dealer educational sessions held during AIMExpo in Orlando. The Powersports DEALER Seminars, the largest and most comprehensive free dealer training sessions offered in the industry, annually attract hundreds of franchised and independent dealers from throughout North America. Aegis Powersports, the Sunny- vale, California-based company that provides finance and insurance prod- ucts to powersports dealers, continues to build its footprint across the U.S. since its 2014 launch. "It's incredible to see the growth that Aegis Powersports has experi- enced since launching in 2014, initially to California dealers," said Powersports Busi- ness editor in chief Dave McMahon, who also manages the Powersports DEALER Seminars. "Their sales, service and claims professionals are certainly familiar faces to many dealers, so it's no surprise that Aegis is already being offered in six states in that relatively short time frame. We're eager to help them reach even more dealers via their Powering Profits track sponsorship." "Our slogan 'Peace of mind made easy,' truly captures our business philosophy," said Troy Billen, vice president of sales for Aegis Powersports. "We have invested heavily in the best technology and most experienced person- nel to make the F&I experience within our dealer partners the easiest and most profitable sales opportunity possible. We look forward to sharing our trend-setting and award-win- ning products and services with more dealers in Orlando." The 2016 Powersports DEALER Semi- nars, sponsored by National Powersport Auc- tions and CDK Global Recreation, will be held Oct. 13-14 at the Orange County Convention Center's North Hall in Orlando. PSB Aegis Powersports named track sponsor Liberty Harley-Davidson in Rahway acquired Hannum's Harley-Davidson has acquired Lib- erty Harley-Davidson, marking Hannum's first dealership in New Jersey. The family-owned business established in 1955 also owns and operates dealerships in Media, Chadds Ford and Sellersville, Pennsylvania. Renovations are already underway at the newly titled Hannum's Harley-Davidson of Rahway. Just steps away from the New Jersey Tran- sit train station in the heart of Rahway, the 25,000-square-foot, two-story building at 12 W. Milton Avenue will house hundreds of new and used bikes and will have full sales, service and parts departments with an experi- enced and knowledgeable staff. "Our eyes are always open to new opportu- nities, and the passion for Harley-Davidson in this area is undeniable," said Tom Hannum III, owner of Hannum's Harley-Davidson. "Con- gratulations to Tom and Lucy McTamney on a well-deserved retirement after so many suc- cessful years at Liberty. Hannum's is proud to accept this family dealership into our own." "We're leaving Liberty in capable hands," said Tom McTamney. "We hope you'll give the Hannum Family a warm welcome. Thanks for all the great times over the years, and don't worry, we'll be seeing you around as Lucy and I will now have time to ride!" In 1954, Tom Hannum Jr. was so passionate about motorcycles that he was able to con- vince his father, Tom Sr., to sell his automotive business to purchase a Harley-Davidson fran- chise. So began the Hannum's Harley-Davidson dynasty, which continues to bring the "Thrill of the Ride" to customers throughout Pennsylva- nia, Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey. Hannum's Harley-Davidson has been a family-owned and operated business since it first opened its doors on Chester Pike in Crum Lynne in 1954. As the business expanded, the store was relocated to its current location in Media in 1959; a second location was added in Chadds Ford in 2000 and a third location in Sellersville opened in 2015. Family truly is at the heart of Hannum's Harley-Davidson. Tom Jr. was an avid racer and motorcycling enthusiast with a great respect for the American iconic brand. Over the years he passed this passion on to his wife Rita and two children, Tonda and Tom III. All three are actively involved in all aspects of the busi- ness today.
