BRP has invested more than $35 million to modernize its facility over the past three years, so it could pursue its mission of developing exciting, safe, high-performing products. Over 600 engineers, technicians and professionals work at the Product Development Centre in Valcourt, in close collaboration with BRP's three advanced research and development cen- ters around the world, to shape the future of the industry of motorized vehicles and engines. "Since the invention of the sprocket wheel and track drive system by our founder Joseph- Armand Bombardier in 1935, our people in Valcourt have obtained over 750 issued patents and patent applications. This is an extraordi- nary achievement, and thanks to these cutting- edge new installations, we can expect that to continue at an even faster pace," said José Bois- joli, president and CEO.
